History of the Club: The Doutta Galla Bowls club began its journey in 1944. It has a proud and long history which is reflected in its honour boards that proudly adorn our clubrooms. The club remains at 52-56 Kerferd Street Essendon North in quiet cul de sac surrounded by heritage homes that sit alongside modern contemporary dwellings.
The clubhouse is a decent size and offers competitive rates for a function hire or an event. There is a fully licensed bar and kitchen facilities.

Barefoot Bowls: Doutta Galla Bowls is the ideal place to hold a social function combined with the enjoyment of playing Barefoot Bowls. The club also has BBQ facilities and a fully licensed bar. Your choice of playing in bare feet or showing your toes or bringing your favourite pair of flat soles is for you to decide. Barefoot bowls is suitable for all ages, ability and gender. It provides a great introduction for the first-time player, simple tips from our staff along with coaching is provided on-site at no extra cost. We provide the greens, as well as all required equipment for bowls, just turn up in casual clothes and flat-soled shoes and enjoy.
Darts Join the club: The Doutta Galla bowls club has a long-standing history with NDA and MDL. Our club fields two teams in each competition on Wednesday and Friday nights respectively.
