History of the Club: A Legacy Since 1944, Doutta Galla Bowls Club boasts a rich history, proudly showcased on our honour boards that adorn our welcoming clubrooms. Nestled at 52-56 Kerferd Street, Essendon North, our club enjoys a peaceful cul-de-sac setting, surrounded by a charming blend of heritage homes and stylish modern residences.

The clubhouse is a decent size and offers competitive rates for a function hire or an event. There is a fully licensed bar, kitchen and BBQ facilities.

Barefoot Bowls: Doutta Galla Bowls is the ideal place to hold a social function combined with the enjoyment of playing Barefoot Bowls. Your choice of playing in bare feet or showing your toes or bringing your favourite pair of flat soles is for you to decide. Barefoot bowls is suitable for all ages, ability and gender. It provides a great introduction for the first-time player, simple tips from our staff along with coaching is provided on-site at no extra cost. We provide the greens, as well as all required equipment for bowls, just turn up in casual clothes and flat-soled shoes and enjoy.
